Mount Logan Capital Management (MLCM), the third-party capital management arm of Everest Group, has experienced substantial growth in its assets under management, now reaching an impressive $3.4 billion. This considerable expansion has been significantly bolstered by Everest's introduction of Annapurna Re Ltd., a pioneering casualty reinsurance sidecar that represents the largest of its kind in the market.

Previously, MLCM's assets stood at $2.6 billion in April 2026, a notable increase from $1.8 billion at the start of 2025, demonstrating an approximately 89% capital growth. The recent launch of Annapurna Re, which channelled $600 million in external capital, primarily anchored by Stone Point Insurance Solutions, has been a pivotal factor in this accelerated growth. This strategic move not only solidified Annapurna Re's position as the leading casualty sidecar but also enabled MLCM to expand its services to include these new assets, alongside its traditional collateralized reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) strategies. Additionally, MLCM successfully attracted an extra $200 million in third-party capital before June 30th, further contributing to its current AUM figure.

Everest's quarterly report underscored the strategic importance of this growth, highlighting how the Annapurna Re sidecar enhances capital flexibility, is expected to improve underwriting income and return on equity over time, and provides a valuable tool for capital management and hedging. The sidecar is projected to generate approximately $200 million in ceded premiums quarterly, leading to increased underwriting and fee income. Furthermore, Everest emphasized MLCM's role as an efficient and highly aligned third-party capital manager, reinforcing its critical position within the group's strategy. The success of Annapurna Re has elevated MLCM's strategic significance, expanding its managed assets and diversifying its investor base in the rapidly evolving reinsurance landscape.

The growth of Mount Logan Capital Management and the successful launch of Annapurna Re underscore a dynamic and innovative approach within the insurance-linked securities market. This expansion not only reflects strong investor confidence but also demonstrates the potential for strategic partnerships to foster significant financial advancement and market leadership. Such achievements contribute to a robust and evolving financial ecosystem, signaling continued opportunities for growth and collaboration.
