The Washington Wizards have recently made roster adjustments, releasing both forward Leaky Black and center Skal Labissiere. These athletes were previously under non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 agreements, a strategic decision to refine the team's lineup in preparation for the upcoming training camp.

Skal Labissiere, aged 28, was a 28th overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft. Throughout his 152 NBA appearances, he maintained averages of 7.1 points and 4.4 rebounds, with an impressive 49.2% shooting accuracy. Last season, he showcased his skills with the Stockton Kings in the G League, recording 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. His career-best NBA season was in 2016-17 with the Sacramento Kings, where he averaged 8.8 points and 4.9 rebounds over 33 games. Leaky Black, 26, entered the league undrafted in 2023 after a five-year collegiate career at North Carolina, earning recognition for his defensive capabilities. He initially secured a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets, but was released in August 2024 before joining the Wizards' training camp. During the 2024-25 season with the Capital City Go-Go, Black contributed 8.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 33 games, boasting shooting percentages of 49.3% from the field and nearly 40% from beyond the arc. Additionally, he participated in 26 NBA games last season, averaging 2.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.9 assists.

Both players are anticipated to continue their professional journeys with the Capital City Go-Go in the forthcoming G League season. Their Exhibit 10 contracts offer the possibility of earning up to $75,000 in bonuses if they remain affiliated with the team.

These roster decisions highlight the dynamic nature of professional basketball, where teams constantly evaluate and adjust their lineups to optimize performance. For players like Labissiere and Black, such transitions represent new opportunities to further develop their skills and prove their value, demonstrating resilience and dedication in pursuit of their athletic aspirations.
