How the Live Streaming Feature Operates
The system utilizes the driver's front-facing camera to capture video footage. When a ride commences, the parent or guardian linked to the teen's account receives an alert if the live stream option is available. Should they choose to view the feed, both the driver and the teen passenger are notified of the ongoing surveillance, ensuring transparency for all parties involved.
Access and Privacy Protocols
Access to the live video stream is strictly limited to authorized parent or guardian accounts connected to the teen's profile. There are no provisions for other passengers accompanying the teen to opt out of appearing on the live feed. A critical aspect of this feature is its commitment to privacy: once a ride is completed, the video content is no longer accessible to anyone, including the driver, the teen, or the guardian.
