UAG Introduces Innovative Moisture-Absorbing Pouches for Electronics

UAG has launched a new product line in collaboration with Dryout, featuring rescue pouches, bags, and backpacks equipped with advanced moisture-absorbing materials to tackle water damage in electronic devices. Unlike the common but ineffective method of using rice, these products are specifically engineered to extract moisture from gadgets, regardless of their factory water resistance ratings.

These innovative solutions offer a quick and efficient way to save devices from accidental spills or heavy downpours. The recovery time for devices ranges from two to twelve hours, influenced by the ambient temperature and the severity of the moisture exposure. For mild cases, such as exposure to rain or sweat, devices can be recovered in two to five hours, while more severe water immersion may require up to twelve hours. A key advantage of these products is their reusability; the pouches can be restored to full moisture-absorbing capacity by drying them in sunlight, warm air, or even a conventional electric oven.

The collection includes various products, with prices starting at $35 for the Phone Rescue Pouch and Wireless Earbud Rescue Pouch. Other offerings include a Tech Crossbody Sling, a 16-inch Laptop Sleeve, and larger tote bags and backpacks. Before placing a device into a rescue pouch, users should follow standard recovery procedures: power down the device, remove any protective cases, wipe off excess liquid, and ensure no charging cables are connected. After each use, the pouch must be reset to maintain its effectiveness for future emergencies.

This innovative approach from UAG and Dryout addresses a widespread problem for electronic device users, offering a reliable and reusable solution to water damage.
