Teen Vogue has embarked on an exciting new venture, launching its original romance fiction series, "I Saw The Signs," in partnership with Wattpad Books. The debut was celebrated with a lively astrology-themed gathering at McNally Jackson bookstore, marking a significant step into serialized storytelling for the publication.
The inaugural book in the series, "Under The Northern Stars" by Tay Marley, was released, captivating readers with its narrative of a scientific protagonist and her bronco-riding neighbor. Upcoming titles, including "Read To Me" by Ariana Godoy and "Star-Crossed Rivals" by Anna Todd and E.M. Wilson, are set to arrive in 2027, all utilizing an astrological framework to delve into interpersonal dynamics. This initiative represents a natural progression for Teen Vogue, building on its history of covering youth culture and fan communities, offering a platform for imaginative expression and audience engagement. Wattpad's involvement further encourages this interactive spirit, allowing stories to unfold in serialized chapters, inviting collective speculation and discussion among readers.
The launch event itself was infused with cosmic charm, as attendees embraced the astrological theme through their attire and conversations. Guests, encouraged to dress according to their zodiac signs, showcased diverse interpretations, from a Taurus in cow-print mules to a Pisces in a crochet fishnet top. Name tags detailing sun, moon, and rising signs sparked animated exchanges about personal charts, enriching the social atmosphere. A highlight for astrology enthusiasts was the presence of Teen Vogue's resident astrologer, Lisa Stardust, who provided individual readings and cosmic advice, notably cautioning against impulsive decisions during the current Venus retrograde.
This innovative collaboration between Teen Vogue and Wattpad Books demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to storytelling, blending literary arts with popular cultural interests like astrology. By fostering a participatory environment, they are not only launching a new series but also cultivating a dynamic community where readers and writers can explore universal themes of love and connection through a unique, celestial lens.
