A key focus for TCL with the P80 Ultra is user eye comfort. The company has implemented several enhancements, including the adoption of circular polarization to circumvent compatibility issues often encountered with polarized sunglasses. Furthermore, a unique homogenizing film blends red, green, and blue sub-pixels to produce white light, while blue light emission has been significantly reduced to a mere 2.9% without compromising image fidelity. The standard P80 further reduces costs by omitting the NxtPaper technology, though it retains the 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display and 3,200-nit peak brightness, with storage starting at 128GB and topping out at 256GB.

The TCL P80 Ultra is priced at €550 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, while the P80 Pro is positioned at a more accessible price point, and the standard P80 is even more affordable.
