Rokid is making significant strides in the smart eyewear domain, preparing to introduce two innovative products, the Rokid Color and Rokid Glasses 2, at the upcoming CES 2027. These new offerings underscore the company's ambition to challenge established players like Meta in the rapidly evolving smart glasses market.
The Rokid Color smart glasses are designed to rival the Meta Ray-Ban Display, featuring cutting-edge 0.16cc microLED full-color displays that deliver exceptional color fidelity and a broad sRGB color gamut. Weighing a mere 55g, these glasses are notably lighter than their Meta counterparts, promising enhanced user comfort. Users can interact with the Rokid Color through temple-mounted touchpads, smartwatches, voice commands, or an optional smart ring that enables gesture and touch controls, along with eye-tracking capabilities. This smart ring also doubles as a health tracker, monitoring vital signs and supporting mini-games, adding a layer of versatility to the user experience.
Meanwhile, the Rokid Glasses 2 represent a significant upgrade to the previous generation, offering improved comfort with wider-opening temples and more skin-friendly nose pads. The lenses have been engineered to be 70% less reflective, enhancing visual clarity. These glasses retain an IPX4 water resistance rating and support magnetic clip-on prescription lenses. Internally, the Glasses 2 are powered by dual processors, including the advanced Snapdragon AR1 Plus, and feature Dolby Audio support for a superior sound experience. The integrated 12MP camera with a super night video algorithm, capable of recording in 4K, further distinguishes this model, providing advanced imaging capabilities alongside Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
The global debut of both the Rokid Color and Rokid Glasses 2 is anticipated at CES 2027. The Rokid Color will be available in Black and Tortoiseshell finishes, with two configurations offering different RAM and storage options. The Rokid Glasses 2 will also come in Black and Tortoiseshell, with slight price variations between the two color options.
