He assumes the pivotal role of Managing Director for Reinsurance and Capital Markets within Ledger Capital Markets, LLC. This entity functions as the company's SEC-registered broker-dealer and is also a proud member of FINRA and SIPC, adhering to stringent regulatory standards.

Ryan Saul's Extensive Professional Journey

Ryan Saul's career in the reinsurance and capital markets industry spans over two decades, marked by diverse and impactful roles. His journey began in 2000 as a broker, and since then, he has cultivated expertise within both reinsurance brokerage and insurance investment organizations, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the sector's intricacies.

Recent Contributions at BMS Re

Before joining Ledger, Saul dedicated more than four years to BMS Re, a prominent reinsurance broker. In his capacity as Senior Vice President, he was instrumental in fostering new client relationships and expanding the firm's client base, showcasing his prowess in business development.

Prior Experience in Insurance Asset Management

Saul's career trajectory also includes a significant five-year tenure at Conning, where he served as Director of Business Development in insurance asset management. Preceding this, he spent close to five years at New England Asset Management (NEAM), focusing on addressing the investment requirements of the insurance and reinsurance industries.

Early Career with Aon Reinsurance

From 2000 to 2011, Saul honed his skills at Aon in reinsurance broking. As a Vice President, he was deeply involved in client development, specializing in property and assisting with the initiation of new client accounts, laying a strong foundation for his subsequent achievements.

Ledger's Expanding Team and Market Achievements

This executive hire follows other strategic appointments at Ledger Investing, including John Kulik as Senior Reinsurance Actuary earlier this year. The company also reached a significant milestone in late 2024, surpassing $2 billion in casualty ILS placements with institutional investors, highlighting the growing demand for diversified insurance risks. Additionally, Ledger has actively traded over $250 million in the secondary market for casualty ILS, further solidifying its market presence.
