Elevate Your Gaming: Beyerdynamic's New Wireless Headsets Redefine Affordable Audio

Introducing the MMX Wireless Series: Tailored for Every Gamer

Beyerdynamic has unveiled two fresh wireless gaming headsets, the MMX 100 wireless and MMX 130 wireless, joining their acclaimed MMX gaming collection. These models are strategically designed to cater to different auditory preferences, offering distinct experiences based on their acoustic design.

The MMX 100 Wireless: Designed for Uninterrupted Focus

The MMX 100 wireless headset features a closed-back construction, specifically engineered to minimize external noise and prevent sound leakage. This design is particularly beneficial for environments with high ambient sound, such as bustling rooms or competitive LAN events, ensuring crystal-clear communication and deep immersion in fast-paced multiplayer games.

The MMX 130 Wireless: A Broad and Natural Soundscape

In contrast, the MMX 130 wireless boasts an open-back design, allowing for a more spacious and natural audio presentation. This makes it an ideal choice for captivating, narrative-driven games and quieter settings where heightened situational awareness is more crucial than complete sound isolation.

Unwavering Commitment to Audio Excellence and User Comfort

Matthias Heilig, Beyerdynamic's Product Marketing Manager for Gaming, emphasized the brand's dedication to integrating their signature audio quality into these new gaming headsets. He highlighted the focus on precise sound reproduction, enduring comfort for extended play, and robust construction for long-term reliability. Both models incorporate a finely tuned 40mm driver, with the MMX 130 wireless featuring an additional titanium coating for enhanced performance. Connectivity is versatile, supporting PC, console, smartphone, and handheld devices via Bluetooth 6.0, a low-latency USB-C dongle, and an included analog cable, maintaining latency below 30 milliseconds in dongle mode.

Advanced Features for a Seamless Gaming Experience

Both headsets come equipped with a detachable META VOICE microphone for impeccable in-game communication. They offer over 80 hours of battery life and feature soft velour ear pads, ensuring comfort during prolonged gaming sessions. Durability is further guaranteed by aluminum sliders, stainless steel hinges, and easily replaceable batteries, ear pads, and headband pads. Additionally, both models can be folded flat for convenient travel and feature magnetic earpads for effortless, tool-free replacement. Full integration with the Beyerdynamic app provides comprehensive control over EQ settings, auto-shutdown functions, voice assistant, and voice prompt customization.

Availability and Pricing Details

Available in elegant Black and Arctic White, both headsets include the META VOICE microphone, a USB-C low-latency dongle, a USB-A to USB-C adapter, two USB cables, and a compliance booklet. The MMX 100 wireless is set to launch in September 2026 at a price of $149.99, followed by the MMX 130 wireless in October 2026 for $179.99. Specific UK pricing and availability will be announced at a later date. Beyerdynamic will showcase the MMX 100 wireless to the public at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany.
